Final Color?

Too saturated?  I think so.

So there are these alternatives.  Also kind of differentiates the hair and the outfit a bit better.

I personally like this last one best.

Poses

I did a lot of these in a hurry, so most of them are completely out of proportion compared to the Turnaround I posted before.

Latest Warrior Development

In trying to decide how the face is going to look, it has been left blank in these next ones.  Take note of the different waist belts as well.

Cape comparisons.
New gloves and Leg pocket size comparisons

All of the above with extended shirts under the belt. (I think if the shirt is going to be longer, it needs to be like the one on the left.  The other just looks weird to me.)
Flat arm Belts (Right only for comparison)
Flat arm belts with extended shirts combo.

In these blank ones, the hood is designed a bit differently on the right.

Char. Concepts Cont.

I'm not fond of the second one of this one, but maybe there are features about it that we decide on later.
With it being in the girl's imagination, I figured it would be a good idea to give the audience the best idea possible that the warrior is how the girl is imagining herself.  So I decided to try a few designs with hair styles that little girls would have.
This one is just part of a walk cycle I did of a character I did before I even came to UVU.  It probably done'st fit very well for a world traveler, but maybe the hairstyle or the weapon can give us an idea.

A little concept

Another sketch for female hero. This one has short hair just in case we don't want to deal with the peculiar motion of a pony tail.

Rough Story Outline

Here is a very general premise of the story:

An adult female wanders many distant lands in search of something rare. She crosses several valleys, kingdoms, and villages over a long period of time before finally arriving at her destination. Before her are several traps, obstacles, and monsters that attempt to prevent her from reaching this treasured item. She must successfully overcome these obstacles to prove herself worthy of the sacred relic. She is athletic and courageous. Each obstacle is more difficult than the next, testing her agility, her wits, and her strength. There are many fallen warriors that have failed where she continues to succeed. She ultimately acquires the rare item only to reveal that she is just a small child in her house with a wild imagination that has found the final missing piece to a jigsaw puzzle. (possible alternate ending: the piece doesn't fit)

More Concepts

And here are some of mine.  Admittedly, I'm not the best at concepts, but I thought I'd at least throw these out in case we get some inspiration from a few features.  You never know.

These are some ideas I had for weapons.  We were mainly thinking about a spear, right?
